three of a kind

back in 1985 Kelly and I cut our hair.  this was right before a big family vacation.  quite a surprise to our mom.

I remember quite vividly when we were finished with the cut, that we hid the hair in our doll house while mom came up the driveway after getting the mail.

during our vacation, a lady came up to my mom and asked if our cut was a new style.  ;)

25 years later, yup....we still cut our own hair.  but much more responsibly.

last week, a true 'Price' shown through in our niece Brooklyn.

she cut 6-8 inches off....EVERYWHERE!  She actually did quite a good job in back...it was very even and looks almost like a true haircut...gone somewhat wrong.  (the bangs though...just like the infamous 1985 style..must be coming back again).

oh yeah.  I only hope Kaylee doesn't get this idea.  ever. ;)

my sister wrote what happened at church:

At church today:

Many People:   Who cut your hair Brooklynn?
Brooklynn: My mom.

You should have heard the laughs when she would say that.   :)

(it was kinda true, because my sister DID cut a bit of hair....just to clean up the edges that she could!)

hugs and kisses Brooklyn!  Auntie Shannon and Auntie Kelly are proud of you!

tee hee hee.

fall in az

remember this from a few years ago in a past Arizona Fall?  that was November.  We still have a month of 'splash pad' weather.

well, we had a fun time going to another splash pad with cousins.  they enjoyed running around and getting all wet.  It still doesn't seem to fit in my mind.

Halloween and a visit to a splash pad in a bathing suit in the same month?

I remember freezing my keester off when I was younger and going trick or treating.  Freezing rain and all that fun stuff.

cousin lynnea and kaisa

kaisa.

cade didn't get too excited about getting wet...he was pretty interested in the other play areas that didn't have water.

conner: the last air bender...controller of the elements.

conner was a mooch and got goldfish from this family sitting across from us.  he didn't want to let them go, even when they got soggy.

cousin luke.

beautiful lynnea.

snow much fun

i've finished editing the rest of my favorite shots.

kaylee's face was frozen like this for almost an hour.  she had so much fun sledding down the hill by herself and with her cousins.

too bad we don't live in a snowy climate.

emily.  she was gracious enough to pose after sliding down for me and kelly.

hadley, emily and max....these kids are so much fun to sled with.

potential into kinetic.

energy.

david was in his element.  he just loved all the sledding and had so much fun with the kids.  i wish i could have gotten into the fun too.

jadey, that daredevil.

a sweet shot that Kelly got of hadley after flipping on the snow.

my own christmas cheeseball.

a cute angle of hadley.  she's 6 months younger than kaylee and about 4 inches taller.

close your eyes, this is gonna get scary.

chikin.

what a cute expression.

jadey and cade.  so fun to have cousins together having so much fun.

one of my favorite sledding shots.  kaylee was quite animated.

max-a-rubie and buddy.

cade LOVES max.  they slept down in the basement livingroom together and had so much fun.  it's nice to have the boy time.

hadley getting her sun for the day.

hold on, this is gonna be fast!!!!!!!

cade must have had a few muscle cramps in his cheeks from smiling so much.

and my favorite ACTION shot of them all....she's falling to her doom.

she doesn't.

she just rolls out of it, lies on the snow for a moment, and gets up to do it all again.

farewell pool party

Tonight we all had tubbies together. I had to make sure to get this last 'pool party' captured. It seems like Kaisa isn't sure about all this commotion. Kaisa looks pretty comfy in Lynnea's arms. Lynnea, the great protector of her little sister.
We've had a fun week....and a long week.
When Jared and Rachel came home about 9pm Lynnea and Kaylee were still awake in their room playing around. Lynnea was so excited to see her mommy and daddy again. She let them know that she loves Kaylee but "I don't like Cade." It's true, Lynnea and Cade butted heads one too many times for many different reasons, mostly ridiculous reasons. That's what you get with two 2 year olds. When Kaisa was woken up she seemed shocked to see her parents again. She kept glancing at me and David to see what might be going on. "Wait a second...If these are my parents, then who are you?" They must have been happy to be back in their good old beds once again. I can't wait to see how the kids react to us when we see them again. Will they run for their parents, afraid to be taken away, or will they ask to live with us another week (but only if Cade isn't there)? :)

momma's little helper

Cade is in love with Kaisa. He's so gentle with her. He loves to get in her face and smile at her, but that can get annoying to her which makes her upset.
I was busy getting stuff cleaned up after lunch and Cade came over to Kaisa who was wanting more strawberries and he started giving her the little pieces that I had on my cutting board. What a cute little helper. Kaisa was very happy for the generous cousin that wasn't eating her food, but instead giving it to her. For Cade, that's a HUGE thing!

i want some chikin nuggets

Every morning Lynnea will ask for Chicken Nuggets. I tell her that chicken nuggets are for Lunch, not Breakfast. She whines a bit...and then asks again. I've been able to win those battles. Today though, we had lunch early...10am. Lynnea was excited to get her nuggets.

It seems like she was only hungry for chicken nuggets during the morning. When we would have them for dinner she wouldn't eat them, or she would tell us she wasn't hungry. confusing little one! Kaylee and Cade like to eat them with dip-dip....katsup. Lynnea insists not to have it.

I got these cute photos of Cade savoring every last piece of his lunch. Yumm Yumm Yummo.

bedtime ritual

Kaylee and Lynnea have been enjoying the time in their room to read books. Tonight Lynnea was 'reading' a book to Kaylee and she sure was enjoying it. They are so good together.

Kaylee is really enjoying the time with her cousins.

They're gonna miss each other when it's time to leave.

Me and my little cheese.
