just love this one

not much not to love about him. he's currently cutting his FIRST tooth. Poor lil one. It's a booger of a tooth too.

we went to 'old McDonald's' as Kaylee and Cade call it. I had fun sitting with Conner while the two older and wilder ones roamed free to do what they pleased. I am really looking forward to Kaylee starting school. She'll be kept busy and my home will be kept cleaner.

We're still trying to decide whether or not to put Cade into Preschool. Cade actually 'passed' his speech screening (probably because they gave him a 3 year old test and he was over 3 1/2). He barely passed it too. They said they would re-evaluate him when he turns 4. Hopefully he won't let his mommy and daddy down. FAIL THAT TEST BUDDY! Give us free preschool! we love you Cade, articulation and assimilation problems and all. :)

if Cade and Kaylee do wind up going to school, I'll have Conner to myself for a few hours a few times a week. Oh the fun that will be! Cade and Kaylee have been talking and talking about going to school. We went and met Kaylee's teacher...Ms. Reid tonight. Kaylee kept saying "I love Miss t'Reid". We also went and saw Kaylee's former preschool teacher, Miss Zebrowski...or ask Kaylee says "Mary Browsky." If Cade takes preschool...he'll have her. We love miss zebrowski! She's wonderful!

We started our trip to Utah by meeting Emilie at the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. It was wonderful to walk through the temple. It was my first open house to attend. It was so wonderful to see Em, Eden, Avi and Brett again! Avi is such a cute little girl! Eden of course was as sweet and wonderful as ever!

Cade went to the store with Max and Uncle Mike and came back with his very own 'dokker ball'. That night Cade said a prayer and in it said, "Mike my dokker ball." That was so very cute! He's slept with it and shopped with it...I'll have to make sure he doesn't take the ball to preschool.

One day during the reunion Kaylee AND Cade were so tired that they BOTH took a nap! They were both out for a long while!

it's the new brown

one funny moment I wanna share from the reunion.

Kelly was up late one night cutting Cara's (another sister of mine) hair. Cara decided to be gutsy and cut her hair from a longer length to the same one that Kelly and I have. Cara then said this was the most she would do, no 'black' in her hair like Kelly.

pause.

Kelly pipes in, "I don't have black hair, it's dark brown. I'll show you what black looks like!" She goes and gets a color swatch of black, brings it out and puts it up against her hair to prove her point.

What a laugh we had! I knew Kelly's hair was pretty dark....almost black, but yeah, the swatch didn't lie. Her color is only 1 shade from mine...I guess coloring it more often will make it darker and possibly darker than the intended color.

to buy real gallery wraps....so I made my own version.

Few lengths of 1x2's, cut in 1/2 length wise and cut to size...12x12 prints from costco of a few collages I made of each of the kids. It turned out really nice! And didn't cost much at all!

but

yesterday I had to discipline Kaylee for....can't remember what for....but she was in trouble, that much I do remember! She pouted for a while and was quite unhappy with me. She was sitting at the table while we were getting ready for dinner, looked up at me and said, "I don't like you mommy."

"What?" I asked.

Kaylee responds, "I said, I don't like you...."

"But I love you."

made me smile.
