cade at the park

Cade and Kaylee both didn't want to walk across the bridge to the slide...the holes were TOO BIG! They got down and crawled over it...they could have fallen right through!

Whose feet are those?

Cade...too scared to go down the twisty slide by yourself? CHIKIN!

Cade found a soccer ball at the park. There was a large group of people there with their little kids having soccer practice. Cade just helped himself to a ball. He LOVES balls!

Good Ole Rocky Top

David's sister just got her mission call in the mail today. We had the 'opening letter' ceremony tonight at 7:30. We were all so excited to hear where she is going. Sister Emily Williams will report to the MTC on Wednesday, January 23, 2008. She will be heading to the Tennessee, Nashville Mission! She'll get some good training on that twangy country singin' to go with her already perfect singing voice! We're proud of you Emily! What great news! Sister Williams! Say hi to Clay Aiken for me!

ladies first

Tonight David and I ate a bit late for dinner. The kids had already eaten. I put our food on the table and David had just sat down while I was bringing over our drinks when Cade decided he wanted to join in on our dinner. He started to pull out the chair that I would sit in...next to my food. It was pulled out and I sat in it...I said 'thank you, Buddy.' A little frustration escaped his lips as he went to the next chair. He pulled it out and out of nowhere Kaylee comes up and sits in that chair...and she says 'thank you, Buddy.' He wasn't happy, but we were both laughing so hard. He finally started pulling out the THIRD chair and was able to muster enough energy to get up on that chair and onto the table to help me eat my dinner. It was too precious to see little Buddy pull out the three chairs, which the first two were gladly taken by two ladies of the household. It was really a fun thing to watch. He's such a little gentleman! My sweet Buddy.

kayee ffree

Ask Kaylee how old she is and she'll say, "Kayee ffree," as in I'm Kaylee and I'm Three. We taught her an easier way to show three fingers...putting the pointer and thumb together and showing the remaining three fingers. Much easier!

fun with sunday dinner

Daddy is such a good example to our children. So many wonderful lessons learned, songs taught, habits shared, interests sparked, and talents discovered. Whate else can I say, he so talented he can't help but teach our kids what he enjoys doing most!

Yes, definately Daddys Girl!

Shelly Nails. A new fad for the evening.

A tasty adornment!

cute couple

I love Kelly and Mike! They are such a cute couple and love each other so much. I sure miss being around them and enjoying a fun evening with them either watching a movie or just hanging out. They are so photogenic! Love you guys!

clean up, clean up

Kaylee and Cade made a mess in the livingroom. They spilt each of their cereal containers of fruitloops. They enjoy making messes together. I saw the mess a bit later and when I got Eden up from her nap she saw all the food on the floor and said...'thats a big mess.' I said, 'Yeah, we need to pick it all up." A bit later I came back to the room and one of the messes were cleaned up. I was so happy to see that they were cleaning up their mess.

I asked Eden if she helped to clean up the mess. She said "No. I ate them." I thought that was one of the funniest things I heard from any 2 year old! Thats a great way to get your kids to help clean up. Just throw some food on the area you want to be cleaned and I'll be done like that!

in the jungle the quiet jungle...

Kaylee wanted to wear daddys lion slippers. They are so cute to see on her, especially if you watch her walk away from you. It looks like a pair of those really fuzzy boots that you will see some girls wear sometimes. Too silly!

'a bad word'

We've been trying to teach Kaylee to stay away from saying a certain bad word she has picked up from sweet daddy. Whenever something happens that daddy doesn't agree with...like a stinky diaper....he'll say the word. It contains the same letters as the word 'carp'.
Ok, ok!... so it isn't a HORRIBLE bad word, but something that I don't say and won't stand to hear from my kids lips. Kaylee said it after seeing that Cade had a poopy diaper...and I pulled her aside and told her not to say that word. I asked her, "What did you just say!?" Kaylee replied: "A bad word." That was too cute. She finally understood a question and responded correctly instead of repeating the last word we said.
It was too precious to see her concern and knew she was in trouble with saying that word. We still need to pull her aside every once in a while to tell her not to say the word...but she's gonna get it down...daddy too.

'punkin'

This is our family pumpkin. His name is 'punkin' named by Kaylee. That is how she says pumpkin. I asked her what she wanted to name it, and she said 'punkin'...she probably thought I was asking what it was. We need to get her into naming some of her stuffed animals and not name them 'bear', 'baby' and 'punkin', because that is what they are. Lets be a bit more unique!

happy fall

Yeah! Its the start of the 'less warm' season in Arizona. I'm so excited to be able to go outside for once and not feel so overwhelmingly hot. Kaylee got to paint with color wonder paper and paints. She's such a good artist. I'm so happy for the best time of the year!

cade monet

Cade got into painting the other day. It's that Color Wonder stuff that only 'paints' or 'draws' on the paper and no where else. What a great idea! It's such a cute picture. (i did the purple curly zig zag)

peanuts+butter=yumms

Kaylee LOVES Peanut Butter. Something she got from Daddy. I like PB only with other things, like PB&J Sandwiches, anything that has PB and Chocolate...yum yum yum...but not plain PB. That is just too much for me. It's so neat to see her take on different tastes that I don't have. I've been use to just giving her what I would eat...now she is wanting things that I normally wouldn't offer her. What a neat person we've created!

She decided to eat her PB sandwich with her spoon. She is a silly character.
